Worlds Greatest Porcelain Houses Thimble Masons 1980

This is a thimble by Mason's of England, produced in 1980 for the Franklin Mint Worlds Greatest Porcelain Houses set of 25 thimbles. (Also known as the Porcelain Houses of the World set).

The thimble is decorated with a gilded band around the bottom, and two pictures of a vase containing flowers. The inside of the thimble is stamped with "Mason's" above a picture of a crown with "Patent Ironstone Made in England" on a banner below. The thimble is approximately 27mm tall by 21mm base diameter.

The thimble is in very good condition, with no chips, holes or repairs, although there is some crazing to the glaze, which can be seen in the photos. It is not in the original box, but will be supplied in a clear perspex thimble dome which is suitable for storage or display. The thimble dome is approximately 32mm wide and 48mm high.
