Worlds Greatest Porcelain Houses Thimble Hammersley
This is a thimble by Hammersley of England produced in 1980 for the Franklin Mint Worlds Greatest Porcelain Houses set of 25 thimbles. (Also known as the Porcelain Houses of the World set).
The thimble is decorated with a gilded line around the base, and a set of scalloped gilded lines around the top, there are two ornate panels containig pink roses and bounded by more gilding. The inside of the thimble is stamped with "Bone China" above an acorn and oak leaves, with "Hammersley" below, a picture of a crown below that and "Made In England" below that. The thimble is approximately 24mm tall by 21mm base diameter.
The thimble is in excellent condition with no chips, holes or repairs, it is not in the original box, but will be supplied in a clear perspex thimble dome which is suitable for storage or display. The thimble dome is approximately 32mm wide and 48mm high.
