The Little Owl China Thimble by Oakley of England

This is a beautiful Little Owl thimble by Oakley of England made for the Thimble Collectors Club in 1986. The thimble has a gilded line running around the base. The thimble is decorated with a Little Owl sitting on a branch of an Evergreen. The original painting was created by Maurice Pledger of Hertfordshire, and his signature is also on the thimble. The inside is stamped with “Oakley China”, "Fine Bone China" and "Made In England", it is approximately 25mm tall by 21mm base diameter.

The thimble is in excellent condition with no chips, holes or repairs, it is not in the original box, but will be supplied in a clear perspex thimble dome which is suitable for storage or display. The thimble dome is approximately 32mm wide and 48mm high.
