The 1981 Census Thimble Collectors Society Uttoxeter

This is a china thimble decorated with a gilded line around the fluted base and a picture of a family standing in front of a car outside a house with some details from both the 1981 and 1881 census printed opposite. The inside of the thimble is stamped with "T.C.S. P.O. Box 4 Uttoxeter England", and it is approximately 27mm tall by 23mm base diameter.

The thimble is in excellent condition, with no chips, holes or repairs, it is not in the original box, but will be supplied in a clear perspex thimble dome which is suitable for storage or display. The thimble dome is approximately 32mm wide and 48mm high.
