Spring Serenade Thimble By Bow Porcelain Songbirds TCC
This is a Spring Serenade Thimble in homage to the 18th century Bow Porcelain Works, England. With an unusual acorn shape, this thimble is decorated with two gilded lines between which two songbirds, sitting on branches of blossom, herald the start of spring. Thimbles made for the Thimble Collectors Club in the style of Bow Porcelain, were actually made by Sutherland of England. The inside is stamped with "Bow Porcelain", and it is approximately 22mm tall by 20mm base diameter.
The thimble is in excellent condition, with no chips, holes or repairs, it is not in the original box, but will be supplied in a clear perspex thimble dome which is suitable for storage or display. The thimble dome is approximately 32mm wide and 48mm high.
