Poster Calendar 1897 China Advertising Thimble

This is a china thimble which has been decorated with a gilded line around the base and a picture of a cat watching an artist with "Poster Calendar 1897" printed at the top and "Published by R A Russell & Son New York" printed below. The inside of the thimble is stamped with "Bone China" above a letter "E" inside a letter "C" with "Made In England" printed below. The thimble is approximately 28mm tall by 25mm base diameter.

The thimble is in excellent condition, with no chips, holes or repairs, it is not in the original box, but will be supplied in a clear perspex thimble dome which is suitable for storage or display. The thimble dome is approximately 32mm wide and 48mm high.
