Portugese Tiles Thimble by Coimbra Porcelain Of Portugal

This is a Portugese Tiles Thimble by Coimbra Porcelain which was produced for the Thimble Collectors Club in 1989. The thimble is decorated with a gilded line around the base. The main body of the thimble depicts two scenes of traditional Portugese life, one rural, one by the coast. The inside of the thimble is stamped with the hallmark of Coimbra Porcelain - an image of the tower of Coimbra university - and "Coimbra Portugal".

The thimble is in excellent condition, with no chips, holes or repairs, it is not in the original box, but will be supplied in a clear perspex thimble dome which is suitable for storage or display. The thimble dome is approximately 32mm wide and 48mm high.
