Gold Coloured Metal Thimble Traditional Dimpled Japan

This is a gold coloured metal thimble with a milled rolled rim and a band of vertical striations above this which are used to grip a needle, a plain band above this with "Japan" stamped on it, the rest of the thimble is decorated with a traditional dimpled design. There are no makers marks anywhere on the thimble which is approximately 19mm tall by 18mm base diameter.

The thimble is in excellent condition, with no chips or repairs, it is not in the original box, but will be supplied in a clear perspex thimble dome which is suitable for storage or display. The thimble dome is approximately 32mm wide and 48mm high.
