D Day 40th Anniversary Thimble Fenton Bone China 1984

This is a bone china thimble decorated with a gilded line around the base and "D-Day Landings" printed below the allies flags and beaches. "D Day June 6th 1944 6th June 1984 40th Anniversary of the invasion of German occupied france by Allied Forces at Normandy Beaches" is printed opposite. The inside of the thimble is stamped with a picture of a crown with "English Bone China Fenton China Company" printed around it, and it is approximately 28mm tall by 23mm base diameter.

The thimble is in excellent condition, with no chips, holes or repairs, it is not in the original box, but will be supplied in a clear perspex thimble dome which is suitable for storage or display. The thimble dome is approximately 32mm wide and 48mm high.
