Caverswall Christmas 1981 Thimble Hand Enamelled Signed
This is a thimble produced by Caverswall of England to celebrate Christmas 1981. The thimble is decorated with a thick gilded line around the base, and a picture of a Robin between a sprig of holly, and a sprig of mistletoe, with "Christmas 1981" below. The holly berries are made from hand enamelled dots. The remainder of the thimble is decorated with a picture of children in front of a Christmas tree, with a man holding a Christmas pudding on a platter, and the signature "M. Grant". The inside of the thimble is stamped with "Caverswall England", and it is approximately 25mm tall by 20mm base diameter.
The thimble is in excellent condition with no holes, chips or repairs, it is not in the original box, but will be supplied in a clear perspex thimble dome which is suitable for storage or display. The thimble dome is approximately 32mm wide and 48mm high.
