Caverswall Christmas 1979 Thimble Signed With Sledgers & Robin

This is a thimble by Caverswall of England which was produced to celebrate Christmas 1979. The thimble has been decorated with a gilded line around the base and pictures of children sledging and throwing snowballs. There is also a picture of a Robin singing between some holly, the berries having been hand enamelled, with "Christmas 1979" above. The thimble has been signed "M Grant". The inside of the thimble is stamped with "Caverswall England" in capitals and in brown. The thimble is approximately 25mm tall by 20mm base diameter.

The thimble is in excellent condition, with no chips, holes or repairs, it is not in the original box, but will be supplied in a clear perspex thimble dome which is suitable for storage or display. The thimble dome is approximately 32mm wide and 48mm high.
